Edgar Ivan Galindo Diaz, the driver of an off-road vehicle that killed two kids earlier this month, has been apprehended by authorities.
After issuing a search warrant for Edgar Diaz’s arrest, the 35-year-old presented himself at the California Highway Patrol station in Victorville on Tuesday.
According to public documents, he is the owner of a house on Resoto Road in the town’s northeast.

California Highway Patrol detectives detained Edgar Ivan Galindo on Tuesday in connection to a hit-and-run ATV accident that claimed the lives of a little boy and girl.
The 2021 Polaris RZR allegedly involved in the collision on July 2 reportedly belongs to Galindo Diaz. On July 7, the ATV got discovered by CHP at his home in Apple Valley.
A warrant for Galindo Diaz’s arrest was issued when the investigation got completed, and the 2021 Polaris was located.
According to the department, on July 12, 2022, he surrendered to law enforcement at the California Highway Patrol, Victorville Area.

Apple Valley native Edgar Ivan Galindo was taken into custody and jailed for felony hit and run.
The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office and the California Highway Patrol will collaborate to ensure the proper applicable charges are brought in this case.
He is being jailed instead of a $200,000 bond and has a court date set for Thursday.

Stoddard Wells Accident Victims Jacob Martinez & Christina Bird
The two victims, Jacob Martinez,12, and Christina Bird,11, were friends. On July 2, they tragically collided with Galindo Diaz’s vehicle.
The two kids were discovered lying next to one another. At the scene, Jacob was declared deceased.
At Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, Christina’s life support was turned off on Wednesday after specialists determined she was brain dead.
Before turning off her life support, her family members said their final farewells.

35-year-old Galindo Diaz is presently in a San Bernardino County jail for the Stoddard Wells accident.
On the evening of July 2, while riding an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Stoddard Wells Road, the two children were hit by a side-by-side vehicle that belonged to Galindo.
Both ATVs and UTVs are off-road vehicles; however, UTVs typically have larger, more powerful engines and can be used for business and recreational reasons.
Witnesses claim to have seen the car that struck them switch off its lights before swerving away.
